Your Nature Pioneer can come explore with us at Palomino Drive Park and enjoy short hikes, games, storytelling, and arts and crafts! Each program will explore a different theme through indoor and outdoor investigation and exploration. Children must be registered and accompanied by an adult.

BREC Art is excited to pair with other BREC Special Facilities to bring at and other interests together! Participants will have a presentation by Special Facility staff and then create an art project incorporating what they learned.

Art Adventure at Frenchtown Conservation Area
BREC’s Frenchtown Conservation Area, a 495-acre Bottomland Forrest, will introduce us to some orb weaving spiders and spider exoskeletons! After we meet our 8-legged friends we will use mixed media to create webs and spiders to take home to remind us of our special, spider day!

Nature Explorers Camp is all about getting your child outside for a hands-on exploration of nature.  Bring your camper to Frenchtown Nature Station for three days of fun during Thanksgiving Break. Campers will explore the park and enjoy the great outdoors while learning exciting facts about the nature around them. Our activities are designed to keep your camper engaged, learning, and having a blast throughout the entire camp.  Each day will be comprised of different activities, outdoor games, crafts, and experiments.  Campers will need to bring a bag lunch, drink, and snacks each day.
